Jerry is a Vice President at MPI and is based in Morehead City, North Carolina. His responsibilities include the management of engagements involving the preparation of financial and economic analyses and evaluations of closely held debt and equity securities. Since joining MPI in 1993, Mr. Valentine has determined the value of the securities of closely held companies for a wide variety of purposes, including estate and gift tax filings, income taxes, fairness opinions, sale/merger transactions, recapitalizations, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, buy-sell agreements, ownership succession, corporate and shareholder planning, etc.
In support of the foregoing, Jerry has prepared written valuation analyses and opinions, and has provided testimony in an expert witness capacity in business valuation matters in various court proceedings. He has also defended his work before the Internal Revenue Service. The valuation analyses and reports prepared by Jerry have also been used for presentations to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, as was as to attorneys, accountants, and trustees. |
