Since joining MPI in 2003, Mr. Povlich has managed a wide variety of client engagements and determined the value of closely held securities of companies and partnerships in many industries for a variety of purposes, including estate and gift tax, income tax, ESOPs, corporate planning and restructuring, financial reporting, sale, merger, stock purchase plans, buy-sell agreements and matrimonial proceedings. Mr. Povlich has prepared valuations of closely held operating companies, asset holding entities, as well as other securities such as undivided interests in real estate, promissory notes and preferred stock. In support of the foregoing, he has prepared documented valuation analyses for presentation to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, as well as to attorneys, accountants and other fiduciaries. Mr. Povlich specializes in the valuation of alternative investment management companies, including securities deriving value from carried interest or promote.
