Since joining MPI in 1981, Mr. Egan has prepared numerous tax and transaction-based business valuations and provided litigation support services to many diverse clients. He has performed and managed a wide variety of client engagements, including private and public company security analyses and valuations for various purposes. Although he has determined values for businesses in a wide range of industries, Mr. Egan specializes in valuing commercial banks, trucking and related transportation firms, retailers and manufacturing companies. Mr. Egan has consulted with principals and professional advisors of closely held companies regarding tax and estate planning, ownership succession and continuity planning. He has appeared as an expert in business valuation before the Internal Revenue Service, in U.S. Tax Court and in other court proceedings, including court appointments.
