Bill Cranshaw is the Northeastern Regional Director and a Managing Director of Management Planning, Inc., a leading valuation firm which has been providing objective and confidential business and securities valuation and financial consulting services for nearly 70 years. He has specialized in ownership succession and continuity planning, tax and estate planning, and family business issues. He has been a frequent speaker and writer on these topics.
Prior to joining Management Planning in 1987, Mr. Cranshaw was with the First National Bank of Chicago, where he managed the Closely Held Business Group. In that capacity, he was responsible for the management of all closely held interests held by the Bank in various fiduciary capacities. In addition, Mr. Cranshaw served on the Board of Directors of several family-owned businesses.
Mr. Cranshaw earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Simon School at the University of Rochester and a BA from Washington & Lee University. He is a member of the Family Firm Institute, a member of the Board of Directors of Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises and an associate member of The Connecticut Construction Industries Association. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Country Store and is the Chairman of the Orton Family Council, both in Manchester, VT. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc., in Princeton, New Jersey.
